I think we are a manifestation of atleast one of the three characters from Dil Chahta Hai. Which one do you think you closely relate to ?
For those who do not remember, I am talking about Akash, Sameer and Siddharth.
To me these are a couple -
Bala is the closest we have to Akaash. Trying to be a rebel on the outside, yet behind the rebellious exterior; I have always found a very traditional or should I call it run of the mill person (for lack of a better phrase). Picking on people might be his favorite activity but then he also gets very emotionally attached to the people around him. This may sound a bit different from the Akaash, but it really is not. Akaash is a bit more wary in getting emotionally attached to people but he too is involved emotionally with all his relationships. And I can just see a fallout like the one between Akaash and Siddharth happening to Bala so very easily.
Vishal is a specter of Siddharth. Quiet but resolute. He knows what he wants and he will strive hard to achieve it. There is a him which he will not reveal to anybody. There is a huge jump one needs to make to know him which is difficult to the extreme of impossibility. He is the true rebel. He is the one who does something because he thinks it is correct and wants to do it not caring about anybody else around him.
In myself I see a bit of Akaash and a lot of Sameer. I get swayed by people easily. Thoroughly confused. I never know what I want or what I like. Will leave the rest of the assessment on me to others.
Comment away ... about any of the people we know. Maybe we could take a more generalised approach and just say which movie character do we relate somebody with the most.

A well thought of Blog Marw. The beauty of Dil Chahta hai was that Farhan Akthar covered the whole spectrum of Human emotions thru 3 guys. I agree with the examples that u gave above. Here are a few inputs from my end:
Goli-Probably the closest to Sameer. Easily picked on by his frnds, desp failing with gals and has an innocent sense of humor.
Aup-A mix of all 3...resolute self like Sid (except for his Thesis), fun loving like Aakash and a womaniser like Sameer (lets not go thyair!!)
KK - No doubt abt it...the boring Subodh :-))...kidding.
I like your thought process Marw..excellent.
Personally, I think I would identify with a version of Sid, who has a dormant uncontrollable rage simmering beneath his frozen facade.
Balls, tera aur vcd ka analysis se I concur with. Pushkar is more like Aakash on the inside and Sid on the outside.
Goli is Subodh on the exterior and Sameer on the inside.
What wud be an absolute disgrace in my life wud be to get slapped by vcd...shame!
Jadiya is totally like Sameer. The way we pick on him is truly reminiscent of the way Aakash screwed Sameer up.
Awesome blog marw. I totally agree with you when you say that Bala is like Aakash and Vcd is like Sid. Although I believe that Vcd is more like Sid than Balls is like Aakash. Balls is more emotional.
Aup's funda on Bhaiyya is perfect - also Ball's comparison of KK with Subodh (not kidding..lol).
I definitely believe I (like Sameer), will get tied up and robbed; but I am probably more Mahesh uncle (I was born with mid life crisis).
p.s. Meghneel is the 2 rupees with Rohit(Ayub Khan) playing pool. lol.

Intresting blog. DCH was an amazing movie. I think all of you are mixtures of Akash and Sameer. .... NO one is close to being Sid.
....... Sorry to say this but as far as I know all of you think a great deal about what is practical and what isn't. So none of you will do anything as radical as Sid. You all may be patriotic, passionate about movies, music, sports, books, food, and other things... but I doubt that any of you will love a person if he/she doesn't reciprocate your feelings.
