What a weekend and what a feeling to get to listen to two immortal songs in one concert at a distance of just 1-2 feet from the stage .. Fade to Black as well as Sanatarium . I wont write much about the Metallica show because there is a person much more passionate than I, who will be ready with his article about the Gods of Rock. But I must just say that the money we spent was too little an amount to buy the memories worth a lifetime.
Back to the part where I am good though..or so I feel...writing about witty incidents( .. stories ). Anubhav echoed my thoughts this afternoon when he said that " Maybe, we are paying too much attention to what we speak". Yeah..he is right and that is the reason we have immortalised 'ek mineet' and our very own Belur. But it is fun though, because these are all "cazuval" talks as Bhaiya would suggest. So one more addition to our list is our role model "kutta". Bhaiyya gets all the credit for his deep thought in spawning this cult figure.
Just a few of his extraordinary abilities

1. This dog can code in Java, C++ and any language you may think of. Thats why the words very often uttered " Kutte ke tarah coding kiya".
2. This dog has a career orientation and can study Digital Signal Processing, Computer Architecture among many other subjects. Hence the words " Kutte ke tarah padhayi kiya". Infact this dialogue reminds me about one of Pushkar's real life incidents in which he told his dad on phone , " Dad, mei kutte ke tarah padhayi mein busy tha".
3. This dog has a lot of strength and is also good looking with a great personality. " Kutte ke tarah dum lagaana pada", "Kutte jaisa chava lag raha hai". I am not coining these sentences just for heck of it but they have been uttered by many Freaks in many conversations.
4.Finally our dog makes mistakes also. As a result the popular "Arun"(ubiquitous) phrase " kutte ke tarah haga".

So lets acknowledge the arrival of our newest cult figure "Kutta" , the Dog ( in obvious reference to Bollywood).

There was nothing much to look around in Norfolk though and even the Met concert couldnt change our opinion about the city. It sucks!
1. There are not many places to see expect a few like Nauticus( which we didnt see), a zoo and a botanical garden. Perfect "turn-off" city for a student.
2.There is Virginia beach pretty close by from Norfolk. But the water is very cold for most part of the year. So unless and until you are as determined as we were, you cant have a dip in the water. The beach is not as great as to schedule a trip from Baltimore to VA just to see it.
3. There are not many cool places to eat. Infact there arent good eating hangouts even in Downtown. Night life is non-existant.
4. The roads are pretty confusing. In fact at a particular juncture we were faced with the decision of having to choose between three "Granby Street" 's two running east west and one running North South within 0.3 miles.

God save Norfolk..but for me the most revered place will be the hallowed floor in the Scope Arena on which I stood marvelling at the Gods.
